Updates

Everything that has shipped on jmtechpower.com — new features, improvements and fixes, newest first.

November 2026

New Improvement

Copy view link on Articles and Projects

The Articles and Projects pages now have a Copy view link button, like the one on this page. It copies a link to exactly what you are looking at — your search, category, tag, sort and page — so you can share or bookmark that view.
New Improvement

Show your password while you type it

The sign-in and register pages now have a Show button next to each password field, so you can check what you typed before you submit. Press Hide to mask it again; the password is always hidden again when you submit.
New Improvement

Updates grouped by month

The Updates page now groups changes under month headings such as October 2026, so a long changelog is easier to scan. Each month has its own link, for example /updates#month-2026-10.
New Feature

Surprise me on the Projects page

The Projects page now has a Surprise me button too. It opens a random public project, and stays within your category if you have picked one.
New Feature

Surprise me: open a random article

The Articles page has a new Surprise me button that opens a random published article. If you have picked a category, it stays within that category.
New Improvement

A New badge on recent updates

Entries on this page that shipped in the last 14 days now carry a small New badge next to their date, so it is easy to see what changed since your last visit.
New Improvement

Tab titles show your search and filters

On the Articles, Projects and Updates pages the browser tab title now names what you are looking at — your search words, category, tag or type, and the page number — so tabs, history and bookmarks are easy to tell apart.
New Improvement

Next steps when an Updates search finds nothing

If a search on this Updates page comes up empty, it now offers to search all updates for the same words (when a type filter narrowed it) or to search the whole site, besides showing every update.
New Improvement

Next steps when a Projects search finds nothing

If a search on the Projects page comes up empty, it now offers to search all projects for the same words (when a category narrowed it) or to search the whole site, just like the Articles page.

October 2026

New Improvement

Next steps when an Articles search finds nothing

If a search on the Articles page comes up empty, it now offers to search all articles for the same words (when a category or tag narrowed it) or to search the whole site, besides showing everything.
New Improvement

Sort projects by newest, most starred or name

The Projects page can now be sorted three ways — Newest, Most starred and Name A–Z — and the order you pick is kept while you search, pick a category or move between pages.
New Improvement

Sort articles by newest, most viewed or most liked

The Articles page can now be sorted three ways — Newest, Most viewed and Most liked — and the order you pick is kept while you search, pick a category or move between pages.
New Improvement

Subscribe to Updates with RSS or Atom

RSS and Atom links at the top of this page let your feed reader tell you when something new ships. Each item in the feed now opens straight at its entry.
New Improvement

Copy a link to your Updates view

A Copy view link button under the search box copies the address of exactly what you are looking at — your search words and type filter included — so you can share or bookmark that view.
New Improvement

Search the Updates page

A search box at the top of this page finds updates by any word in their title, description or version, and works together with the type filters.
New Improvement

Filter the Roadmap page by status

Chips at the top of the Roadmap page let you show only In progress, Planned or Shipped items, each with a count. All brings the full board back.
New Improvement

Link straight to one roadmap item

Every item on the Roadmap page now has its own link and a Copy link button, just like entries here on Updates. Opening the link scrolls to that item and highlights it.
New Improvement

Filter the Updates page by type

Chips at the top of this page let you show only Features, Improvements, Fixes or general Updates, each with a count. All brings the full list back.
New Improvement

Link straight to one update

Every entry on this Updates page now has its own link. Use its Copy link button to share a single change; opening the link scrolls to that entry and highlights it.
New Feature

Back to top on project pages

Long project detail pages now show a floating Back to top button after you scroll down, the same control articles already use. Tap it to jump back to the top; it respects reduced-motion preferences.
New Feature

Email a project page to a friend

Project detail pages now have an Email button next to Share and Print. It opens your mail app with the project name as the subject and a link to the page in the body, so you can send a project to someone in one click.
New Feature

Share and Print on project pages

Project detail pages now have Share and Print buttons next to Copy link. Share uses the device share sheet when the browser supports it; Print opens the normal print dialog so you can save a project page as a PDF.
New Improvement

Breadcrumbs on project pages

Project detail pages now show a Home › Projects › name trail at the top, matching the article pages, so you can jump back to the project list or the site home in one click.
New Improvement

Long code blocks can collapse

On an article page, code blocks longer than about a dozen lines start collapsed with a Show more control, so a long sample no longer pushes the rest of the post far down the page. Show less puts it away again; Copy still copies the full block.
New Feature

Copy link buttons for projects and articles

A Copy link button on each project page, on every row of the Projects list and on every row of the Articles list copies that page's address so you can share it.
New Improvement

Projects page shows how many projects there are

The Projects page now shows the total number of public projects, and the result count for a search or category now counts every page of matches, not just the page you are on.
New Improvement

Word counts on articles

Articles show how many words they have next to the reading time, both in the article header and on each card in the Articles list. Chinese and Japanese text is counted one character per word.
New Improvement

Helpful suggestions when search finds nothing

When a site search has no results, the page now offers to search the web for the same words in one click, or to browse Articles and Projects instead.
New Improvement

Faster article pages with many images

Images in an article now load as you scroll toward them instead of all at once, so long posts with lots of pictures open sooner and use less data.
New Feature

Press [ and ] to move between articles

On an article page, [ opens the previous (older) article and ] the next (newer) one. The keys are ignored while you type, and the keyboard-shortcuts help (press ?) lists them only on pages where they work.

Projects, rebuilt GitHub-style

Apps are now projects, with owner/name URLs, browsable per-release source, developer profiles, stars, watching, issues and notifications.
